Minnesota
First Lego League State Championship
Benilde-St. Margaret's High School, St. Louis Park
For the 2nd year, MASA is acting as a technical advisor and sponsor
for the Inscite Rocket
League competition (formerly called Minnesota Rocket
League). Sponsored by the same group as the Lego robotics
competitions, this activity is again being organized by MASA member
Ted Cochran. IRL will be open to kids in grades 4 through 9,
organized in teams with an adult coach. They will have a
specific mission to accomplish by designing, building, and flying a
model rocket.
To help kick-off the 2003 Inscite Rocket League and promote model
rocketry, MASA set up a display at the Lego robotics state
championships on January 25. Several MASA members came by to
help, exhibit their creations, hand out MRL fliers, and talk to kids
and parents.
 The
MASA members who brought items for display and helped staff the
exhibit were:

- Seth Cochran
- Ed Eastman
Thanks to everybody who helped! In the coming months, we'll
be asking for more assistance from MASA members as we help the IRL.
