July 2003 picnic launch report (8/4/2003)
Eatin' and rocket launchin' - what an evening!
On Saturday July 19, about 30 MASA members gathered at the VFW
soccer fields near Elk River for the annual MASA summer
picnic. Setting up their own launch equipment in a relaxed
misfire alley style, the first flight took to the skies a bit after
3 pm, and the last flight landed about 5:30 pm. There were
some 35 flights in all.

Full launch tally (in

The totals were: 35 flights, 38 motors. The
cumulative total impulse was 330 Ns with an average total impulse of
8.7 Ns. The motor breakdown follows:
