Please take note that dates, times and locations are
subject to change on short notice.
Launches are subject to cancellation or postponement due to
weather and other factors beyond our control. Launches may not
last as late into the day as the times
listed on this page; if you arrive later in the afternoon, you
might find an empty field. "Prime time" at MASA launches
is typically between 10am and 2pm. Be sure to check back here before an event for the
latest updates. "Sparky" type motors, such as
Aerotech Metalstorm, CTI/AMW Skidmark, or any other brand of
motor that emits showers of sparks, are NOT ALLOWED at any MASA
launch.

This launch will be misfire alley, but the range
will be under RSO and LCO control at all times. A few community
pads and a launch rail will be available. FAA waiver will be in
effect permitting high power flights to 4,500 feet agl. Field
size supports up through J motors.
SPECIAL NOTE - RSO INSPECTIONS: We will have a
separate RSO table at this launch. Under MASA rules, the
following cases require RSO inspection and approval before
flight: clusters, 2-stage rockets using "D" or larger motors,
3-stage rockets, all rockets weighing more than 1 lb, all
rockets using an "E" or larger motor, any scratch-built,
unusual, or unproven design making its first flight. This
approval must come before the flyer signs up for a launch pad.
If you plan to launch something that falls into the category of
"scratch-built, unusual, or unproven design making its first
flight," please bring documentation to support a safe flight,
such as RockSim or Open Rocket print outs, hand-written
calculations, etc.
Although RSO inspection is not required for rockets weighing
less than 1 lb, single motor - "D" or smaller, 2-stage with both
motors "C" or smaller, or built from a commercially-manufactured
kit, the RSO may inspect any such rocket at his/her discretion
or upon flyer request.
HPR FLIGHTS: Any high power flight requires
proof of current NAR or TRA membership, plus current NAR or TRA
high power certification, plus MASA membership. Make sure you
bring your NAR or TRA membership card and MASA badge!
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: As always, we are looking for
LCO volunteers. Also, we'd appreciate help setting up and
tearing down the range. Range set up will begin around 9:30 a.m.
